A Semester Review
The above link will take you to a Microsoft Word 2007 Document of my final reflection for my class, Multimedia Internet.
A Webquest On The Waltz!
Reflection:
When I saw that we had to complete a Webquest for this class, I thought that it would be a fairly easy task. I came to realize that it can be quite a time-consuming task. A lot of research may be involved to create a Webquest. Depending on the amount of information available, the difficulty of the process may vary. There is a lot of information on the internet about the Waltz. Not all of the information corresponds with the masses. The most difficult part about the research was finding information that we felt came from a reliable sources. This is the process of sifting through trash and treasure on the internet. This task gives reason enough for making a Webquest. In order to make sure that our students see the information that we want them to see, we need to find a way to present it to them while eliminating the distractions. With built-in assessments, it is a one stop shop for teaching a topic.
A Webliography For Teachers and Students Exploring Middle School Graphing
Webliography for Middle School Graphing
Reflection:
When this assignment was assigned, I thought of how useful annotated bibliographies are, but I was not really sure about how I felt about completing this Webliography. As I worked on it, I realized that this tool is educationally equivalent to an annotated bibliography, yet it is more useful in that the sources are more widely accessible. When you look at a bibliography and find books that are useful, you need to find a way to physically attain the books. In the case of a Webliography, all you have to do is find a computer with Internet capabilities and you can access the source. Not everyone has the Internet, but it is usually easier to find a computer with Internet access than to find one single book, especially if it is in a different county, state, or country. It all comes down to availability and implementability, both of which are existent with an online source. Webliographies allow for great accessibility and in turn have a greater effect. More over, there are no due dates or late fees on Internet pages.
